Edgecam To Exhibit at Expanding Dicker Precision’s Open Day
Edgecam customer Dicker Precision Components are hosting an open day at the end of the month to celebrate their recent expansion, and to highlight plans for further growth next year.
Dicker manufactures parts for a variety of sectors, including oil and gas, vacuum pumps, and the nuclear industry, along with classic motorcycle parts.
Founded in 1973, Dicker is run by Managing Director Mark Love and has 16 employees. In recent months the company has invested in two new Dugard CNC machines to cope with their increasing workload – an H1886 VMC for producing considerably larger parts than they have in the past, and a 1000Y. “This ensures we have a steady platform to grow further in 2013 and gain ISO 9001 accreditation,” says Mark Love.
The champagne reception at its premises on the Station Road Industrial Estate at Hailsham in East Sussex, on Friday November 30th, is for customers and the local community to see their new machinery and hear their plans for the coming year. Wealden MP Charles Hendry will make a special presentation examining the company’s success in the midst of the unpredictable economic climate, which has also seen them appoint a new Staff Manager to oversee the growing number of additional projects for their expanding customer base.
As Dicker use Edgecam to drive their Dugard CNC machines, both Dugard and Edgecam are exhibiting at the Open Day. Dugard UK Sales Director Nick Gunning is showing videos of the machines in action, while Edgecam Area Manager Scott Ravenscroft will be on hand to highlight the new and enhanced functionality in Edgecam 2013 R1.
